Here’s to creating wealth, freedom, and a life you love
“You have the power to rewrite your story and step into a life filled with inspired action and endless possibilities.”
Introduction:
As female business owners, it’s easy to feel stuck or limited by old narratives, but I believe that each of us has the potential to rewrite our stories. In today’s post, we’ll explore the transformative power of inspired action and how it can set you free from the chains of past experiences.
Let’s unlock your possibilities.
When you woke up today, how did you feel?
Take a moment to think about it.
When you opened your eyes this morning, did it feel like ground hog day?
When you woke up, did you lean into the fact that every single day is a brand-new chance and opportunity to create a life you love?
A lot of people in the world did not get the chance to wake up today.
But you did.
There is a reason you are here; your purpose has meaning.
YOU have meaning.
I want to talk about setting yourself free from a life where you feel stuck so you can step into the vibe of inspired action.
When I work with clients, I often see what I call ‘hooks and anchors’ of past experiences preventing them from achieving a life they love.
We look forward to a strategy for business growth and there’s a thought lingering, like it's on the tip of their tongue, I can see it. Floating at the forefront of their mind, overshadowing their ability to believe in the limitless possibilities available to them.
I have experienced this shadow myself and I know it too well. For a long time it kept me stuck and held me back. I unwillingly and unconsciously fell into becoming a different person to who I truly wanted to be.
That shadow loomed over me too. I empathise when I see hooks and anchors at play in clients. But it also really excites me.
Because I know it can be released and that amazing results (often instant) are possible once it is lifted.
The shadow made me feel like I was failing at something.
The truth is I wasn’t.
My clients aren’t.
And neither are you.
The hooks and anchors are just neural pathways in our brains that need a new narrative. We believe that they define what we are capable of in the present day.
They are not real.
They have zero power over our futures once we learn to release them.
The fact is, yesterday is no longer here – nothing can be improved, changed or altered in our past.
With that knowledge we can lovingly let it go.
I always say to my 9-year-old son, that mistakes are fine to make so long as we try our best not to make them twice.
I remember sharing this wisdom with him when he decided to grab hold of a stinging nettle, knowing that it could sting him (if you live in the UK, you’ll understand how much he later regretted that decision).
Being a child means that curiosity can get the better of us, we want to ‘test’ and see ‘what will happen if?’.
I love watching my son thinking about these moves before he makes them.
If you watch children play you can almost see inside their minds, with the cogs of thinking ticking over, processing to themselves, what will happen if? Often it takes a conscious effort on my part as a parent not to be controlling and stop his move before he makes it. But if it’s safe, for example the first time he poured the milk for his cereal all over the table mis judging the weight of it... I let it happen.
No point crying over spilt milk, right?
The lesson is always more powerful when we walk through it ourselves.
For some reason though, as we reach adulthood, we think that this exploration of curiosity no longer allowed to apply to us.
I don’t subscribe to this narrative.
There are plenty of times in my adult life where I have decided to be curious against my better judgement and it has not paid off. The cogs of my brain have ticked over, I’ve wondered what would happen if?
And it’s stung like a stinging nettle.
Often lingering for longer than a nettle sting would.
But, there are plenty more times when I have leaned into curiosity and taken inspired action, and it’s paid off.
Stepping into the unknown and being curious about what if? Has meant the results have felt like a New Year’s Eve night in Sydney celebrating with global scale fireworks (now that was a great night).
You see the thing that connects our child like selves to our adult selves is being a human.
The human experience is one that unites us all.
It is human nature to want to explore and be curious. Making mistakes is what makes us human too.
We need compassion.
If we don’t lean into this, we risk living a life without new experience, we can miss moments that feel as though they were written for a movie or best-selling book... we can miss the opportunity to step into a rich life filled with depth and inspiration.
The way we lean into inspired action, directly correlates to our results in business.
We must move from being anchored and stuck in old narratives so that we can unlock new ways of thinking and being.
This will mean that our deepest desires and financial successes can be realised in our outward world.
If you’ve never been good with money, you can decide that from today you will learn how to do it, announce it out loud and ask for help.
If you’re scared to show up online as you’ve always been shy, you can decide from today to be free of fear and press LIVE on your phone to speak to your audience.
If you feel a creative block with what to do next, you can decide today to take yourself to your favourite coffee shop and release your gifts with the world (me, right now in a hotel around the corner from my home writing this).
The truth is that nothing is standing in our way.
Nothing.
It’s all made up in our heads.
So make up your own story that sees you as the hero.
Because you are a hero.
Be curious, lean IN.
You woke up today for a reason.
You can Create Wealth On Your Terms and create a business you love today, simply because you decide to.
What ONE action can you take today?
Be inspired and take it.
Cheering for you,
Gem xx
